PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – A coalition of health care organizations, patient advocates and grassroots organizations is coming together in an attempt to get a measure on the 2022 ballot to expand Medicare.
Deb Peters with the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations says current Medicaid services are limited.
Peters says it takes quite a while to get the petition process going.
Peters says it’s a question of healthcare access.
This initiative is separate from one being organized by “Dakotans for Health” which are also pushing Medicaid expansion.
