KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches today announced the 2023-24 NABC Division II All-District Teams and District Coaches of the Year. Northern State University junior Jacksen Moni was honored on the first team. The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division II.
Moni started all 29 games in his junior campaign leading the team averaging 21.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest. He scored the 1000th point of his career and currently ranks 19th all-time with 1,527 points. In addition, the forward sits 22nd all-time with 559 career rebounds. Moni shot 47.4% from the floor, 32.9% from the 3-point line, and 88.6% from the foul line. He racked up 103 assists, 26 blocks, and 23 steals.
Moni closed out the regular season ranked second in scoring, third in rebounding, and first in free throw percentage in the Northern Sun. The Fargo native knocked down career highs in points (40 vs. WSU), rebounds (16 vs. SCSU), and assists (7 vs. WSC). Moni recorded eight double-doubles on the year, earned two NSIC Player of the Week nods, and was named a D2CIDA National Player of the Week. He is a 3-time NSIC All-Conference performer and back-to-back first team member.
