PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota House reached final approval on a bill that sets the framework for housing development across the state.
Representative Hugh Bartels of Watertown says the bill combines a number of proposals.
Bartels says the bill outlines the loan and grant programs.
Representative John Mills of Volga made a motion to slow the bill down and send it to a conference committee.
That motion was defeated on a voice vote. The bill was then approved on a vote of forty-eight to twenty two. The bill had earlier passed the Senate but will have to return for a vote on the amended version.
