The Brown County Commissioners Meeting had several items on the agenda, one of which was the approval of the County Budget for 2027. Commissioner Drew Dennert said it is actually lower than last years budget and explained why.

Chairman Duane Sutton felt the County did a good job of being fiscally responsible for the County’s citizens. Another item was Clark Thares discussing transparency, as he did the night before at the City Council meeting. Commissioners assured Thares that all business handled is done in the Chambers and would gladly work with him or any others to insure that.

Melanie Bobby addressed the group about a potential band aid that could help in Emergency cold situations for the area’s Homeless.

Commissioners agreed to look further into the issue to see if anything could be done.
