The Brown County Commission met Tuesday morning and among the items discussed was raising the speed limit on a portion of Co Road 13 that is currently 45mph. Commission Chair talked about the specifics of what was up for debate.

Commissioner Drew Dennert spoke in favor of raising the limit to 55 mph for that section.

Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers however, strongly disagreed and spoke against making the change.

They moved to take it to a vote and the change was 3-2 opposed to making the change, with Commissioners Sutton, Gage and Wiese opposed, while Dennert and Dinger voted in favor.
