Commissioner Greenfield updated the Interim Committee on Appropriations on the Richmond Dam project

PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- When the South Dakota Legislature passed SB121 that provided the funding needed for the Richmond Dam and spillway project, one of the requirements was to provide updates during each Appropriation Committees until completion.  On Monday, the Interim Committee on Appropriation held their meeting.  School and Public Lands Commissioner Brock Greenfield provided the update to them.

Greenfield went over the timeline since the last meeting was held back in April.  He informed that they made the goal of elevation needed to proceed with the project.

Greenfield went over what had been done during the first three weeks since the April meeting.

Greenfield next discussed what happened from week 4 through week 7.

Greenfield went over what’s been done the last two weeks.

Greenfield also told the committee about setbacks that had occured since the start of the project.

Greenfield also discussed how the fire on July 3rd had impacted the project.

Officially, no timeline has been set toward the reconstruction of Richmond Dam and spillway project.
