YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Members of the interim Appropriations Committee of the South Dakota legislature continue to question the funding status of the new Community College for Sioux Falls, which began its first classes this week.
Committee member, Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says the Board of Regents should create a distinct budget.
Hunhoff says part of the problem is that the college is a cooperative effort of three universities.
Hunhoff says they also want to see more information about the students that are attending the community college.
The community college is housed at what was formerly the University Center in Sioux Falls.
