AVON, S.D. (WNAX) – More members have been added to the Special Education Summer study committee, including Avon Superintendent Tom Culver.
He says schools need help providing the best education to those students.
Culver says school districts have little control over the costs of special education.
Culver says they are now relying on the state extraordinary cost fund to help them make up the differences.
This committee is an extension of last summer’s study and is planned to be more detailed.
