YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Looking at care options for patients in the nursing home at the Human Services Center in Yankton will be the focus of a legislative summer study sub-committee.

Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton will chair the sub-committee and hopes to have some good recommendations at the end.

Hunhoff says the nursing home at HSC is separate from ongoing issues with nursing homes in the state.

Hunhoff says she hopes to come up with a vision for the nursing home.

Her sub-committee is part of a larger overall study of mental health services and access in the state.
