ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release) – The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce’s 18th annual Community Champions Awards luncheon was held on Tuesday, February 14th at Engels Event Company.
The awards, which recognize volunteer leaders and organizations within Aberdeen and from the surrounding region, were presented to the following:
Woman of Spirit – Kila LeGrand
George – Courtney Rott, Jr.
STAR (Students Taking Active Responsibility) – Aberdeen Central SADD Chapter
ViTality – Jim Walker
Entrepreneur of the Year – Cam Schock
Family Business of the Year – Campbell’s Town & Country Building Supply
Military & Veteran Awards –
- SGT Sarah Rice, Noncommissioned Officer of the Year
- Mark Wolf, Civilian Advocate of the Year
All awards are sponsored by the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce and the luncheon is hosted by the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee.
