Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Brown County double in one week

ABERDEEN, S.D. (aberdeennews.com) – Brown County COVID-19 cases increased by 13 in two days, adding three cases on Saturday and 10 cases on Sunday. The county has reported 120 total cases, according to Sunday numbers from the South Dakota Department of Health. A week ago there were 59 cases reported in the county.

No deaths have been reported in Brown County.

Three deaths attributed to the virus were reported Saturday, by the state. All of those were in Minnehaha County. Two people were 80-plus, the other person was between 70 and 79, according to weekend reports by the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. There have been 34 deaths attributed to the virus in South Dakota so far.

In South Dakota there were 249 new cases reported Saturday and 124 cases Sunday; statewide total confirmed cases is 3,517.
