Congress looking at another continuing resolution

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – The new federal budget is supposed to start on Oct. 1.

It again looks like Congress will have to approve another short-term continuing resolution to keep the government open.

South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says its an embarrassing situation.

Johnson says continuing resolutions have become crutches.

Johnson says it looks like this C.R. will extend to Nov. 21.

Johnson says they don’t have all the numbers involved in the C.R. yet, either.
