South Dakota Senator John Thune says its even hard to agree what could be cut.

Thune says some ideas from years ago may deserve another look.

Thune says they could also look at billions of unspent pandemic dollars.

The Congressional Budget Office has predicted the federal budget deficit to reach thirty-one point four trillion dollars this year.
