Congressman Dusty Johnson announces he will seek re-election

PIERRE, S.D. (DRG News) – South Dakota Congressman and Fort Pierre native Dusty Johnson today (Wed.) officially announced his intent to seek another term in the US House of Representatives.

In his re-election campaign announcement video, Johnson says during his first term he accomplished several things to strengthen South Dakota.

Johnson, a republican in the democrat controlled US House, says he was also able to help get national legislation passed.

Johnson says progress is possible in Washington, DC, and he’ll work to ensure South Dakota has a seat at the table where decisions are being made.

Former state legislator Liz May of Kyle has also announced her intention to run for Congress, setting up a June 2 primary between the two republicans.
