Congressman Dusty Johnson pushing legislation to deal with mental health

WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)- South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson is co-sponsoring a bill that would redirect unspent Covid-19 federal funds to mental health services.

Johnson says the need is clear.

Johnson says states are holding billions of dollars of unspent federal funds.

Johnson says his plan would set up permanent trust funds.

The deadline to spend most of those federal dollars is by the end of 2024.
