WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- Earlier this month, Congressman Dusty Johnson sent a letter to the United State Postal Service Postmaster General David Steiner expressing concerns about mail service in the Sioux Falls area.

This is the second letter this year he has sent expressing those concerns.  The first one dealt with mail service throughout the state of South Dakota.

Johnson acknowledged that some services have been approved this year.

Johnson talked about the increase in mail on packages and less on letters.

The locations with the biggest concerns are the ones that have zip codes starting with either 570 or 571.  Those are mostly in the southeastern part of the state.  Congressman Johnson gave an example of what just happened in the Sioux Falls area.

Johnson acknowledged that maybe a local issue but a type of issue that has occurred elsewhere around the country.
