SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com / Audio from DakotaNewsNow)) – On Monday, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) announced his candidacy for Governor of South Dakota.
Prior to talking about his ambitions as Governor, he received a couple of endorsements. One from Representative Will Mortenson of Fort Pierre.
Mortenson compared Congressman Johnson to other candidates announced they’re running for Governor.
Another endorsement came from former Governor Dennis Daugaard who Johnson served on the Chief of Staff at one time.
Daugaard believes Congressman Johnson can bring Republicans together regardless of their differences.
Johnson discussed topics he will look to address if elected Governor.
Johnson talks about how his experience at the U.S. Congress will prepare him for his role as Governor.
Johnson discussed looking to keep the party together and not tearing Republicans apart.
