Congressman Johnson believes pipeline companies need to provide burden of proof

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- Public Utilities Commission hearings on proposed Carbon Capture pipelines in South Dakota are silent for now.

They’ll pick back up next week when the PUC begins hearings on the Summit Carbon Solutions project.

Congressman Dusty Johnson says pipeline companies have the burden of proof on safety questions.

At the same time, Johnson says the majority of landowners have already signed easements granting the pipeline companies to build on their land.
