WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)- South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson is sponsoring a bill that would restrict the use of the social media app “Tik Tok” by members of the military and federal employees. He says the app, based in China, is moving loads of data.
Johnson says it’s a growing security threat.
Johnson says that data can be used to build fake profiles.
Johnson says it also highlights the lack of security of overall personal data on smartphones and in using online apps.
