WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)- The federal government will run out of money on Friday if Congress doesn’t do something.
South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says they are waiting for details on a spending plan from majority democrats.
Congress has passed several continuing resolutions over the past few months to keep the government in operation.
Johnson says he doesn’t like those.
Johnson says the lack of a formal budget raises costs for most departments and agencies.
Congressional leaders have also reached an agreement to spend almost fourteen billion dollars to help Ukraine in their war with Russia.
