WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- On Thursday, President Joe Biden will be presenting his State of the Union Address to the nation.
Congressman Dusty Johnson previews what some of the topics that could be discussed during the speech.
One issue sure to be addressed will be the issue with the southern border. For the second straight year, Congressman Johnson will be bringing a county sheriff to the speech in Washington. This year will be Butte County Sheriff Fred Lamphere. Johnson believes the crisis in the southern border is worse today than what it was when President Biden delivered his State of the Union Address last year.
Johnson compares the Senate bill dealing with the border that failed to HR2 the “Secure the Border Act”.
Johnson acknowledge that with a divided Congress, that there must be some give & take done by both chambers.
Another topic likely to be discuss will be the economy. Congressman Johnson talks about what he thinks the President will discuss.
Congressman Johnson talks about funding that he believes has full support for aid to Taiwan, Ukraine, & Israel.
Johnson also address the possibility that President Biden may call for a full ceasefire between Israel & Hamas involving the Gaza Strip & compared it when the U.S. was attacked at Pearl Harbor back in 1941.
Johnson feels that there can be no backing off support for Israel at this time.
The President will deliver his speech at 8pm Thursday. Alabama Senator Katie Britt will deliver the Republican response to the speech.
