Congressman Johnson react to the removal of Lisa Simoneau

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(WNAX)- The Veteran’s Administration has removed Lisa Simoneau  as director of the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center.

South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson has been working with veterans concerned with the operations and care at the facility.

Johnson says the VA is saying all the right things.

Johnson says staff turnover is related to the management at the medical center.

Johnson says he will continue to push the VA to live up to promises made to veterans.

Dr. Timothy Pendergrass, the current chief of staff will take over as the interim director. The Sioux Falls V.A medical Center serves 25,000 veterans in eastern South Dakota
