Congressman Johnson talks about what’s left in 2022 and look ahead to 2023

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Congressman Dusty Johnson will be returning to Washington, D.C. this Monday to finish up the term for the 117th Congress.  Congress still have items that needs to be done by the end of the year.

One of the items to be address will be the Respect for Marriage Act to codify same sex & interracial marriages.  Congressman Johnson offer his take on the bill.

Another issue is the funding of government.  If an agreement is not reached by December 16th, a government shutdown could occur.  Johnson believes this will be bad for the country.

Another agenda item is to pass the National Defense Authorization Act(NDAA), Congressman Johnson believe this will be passed on a bipartisan vote as it has been in the past.

Coming up next year, Republicans will take control of the U.S. House.  Congressman Johnson describes what he is looking for in the leader of the party.

One of the main focus for Congressman Johnson next year will be the upcoming Farm Bill.

Congressman Johnson will be on the Agriculture & Transportation Committees in the 118th Congress.
