Congressman Johnson vote in favor of bill to cut funding to public broadcasting

WASHINGTON, D.C.(Northern Plains News)- South Dakota Public Broadcasting supporters say a proposed federal budget cut could cripple their services.

Rep. Dusty Johnson voted for a House recision bill that would eliminate public media funding.
Friends of SDPB say that would hurt rural news, education, and emergency alerts.

Johnson’s spokesperson says the Congressman values SDPB’s work.

The bill now heads to the U.S. Senate.
