Constitutional Convention idea killed by SD Senate State Affairs Committee

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Senate State Affairs Committee listened to supporters and opponents of a resolution that would call for a national Constitutional Convention.

Resolution sponsor, Senator Erin Tobin of Winner, says opponents are using scare tactics.

Committee Chairman, Senator Gary Cammack of Union Center, had his doubts.

The resolution was then sent to the forty first day, effectively killing it, on a vote of five to two.
