GREGORY, S.D.(WNAX)- While rural healthcare continues to see problems, in some parts of the state, there is new construction and optimism.

Tony Timanus, President of Avera Gregory Hospital, says their new construction grew out of a remodeling project.

Timanus says they may be in a rural area but they are very busy.

Timanus says they decided they needed a big expansion.

Avera Health is spending about thirty two million dollars on the new hospital and nursing home.
