YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Despite a tight supply chain, and soaring housing costs, the City of Yankton has had a pretty good year for new construction.

Community Planning Director Dave Mingo says building permits are doing well.

Mingo says development had a lot of headwinds this year.

Mingo says there were a good number of housing units added this year.

Mingo says the city has averaged over sixty new housing units a year over the past ten years.
