Corp of Engineers to hold fall public meeting in Fort Pierre

FORT PIERRE, S.D. (DRG News) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold its annual fall public meeting on Missouri River Mainstem System operations tomorrow in Fort Pierre.

Deputy director of public affairs for the Corps’ Northwestern Division Eileen Williamson says the meeting starts at 10am CT at the Casey Tibbs Conference Center.

Williamson says the Corps has to operate the Missouri River as a system, not as individual dams.

She encourages people to come to tomorrow’s meeting.

Fall public meetings are scheduled this week across the entire Missouri River Basin.
