OMAHA, Neb. (WNAX) – The Corps of Engineers continues to make adjustments in river flows and reservoir levels along the Missouri River to get ready for spring.
Releases from Gavins Point Dam near Yankton have been increased to 30,000 cubic feet per second.
Mike Swenson with the Corps in Omaha says those releases will continue for the next few weeks.
Swenson says they still have some flood storage to draw down.
Swenson says they will come close to their targets.
Normal winter releases from Gavins Point Dam range between 12 to 15 thousand cubic feet per second.
