Councilwoman Tiffany Langer’s statement regarding Last Monday’s complaint

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)-  At Monday night’s city council meeting Councilwoman Tiffany Langer sent a letter to all council members & media involving a situation that took place on Monday, May 9th.

“To my fellow City Councilmembers & the Aberdeen Community.

When the aggressive divide of national politics trickle into this small community of Aberdeen that I love?

I was informed last Monday(5/9/22) by my former babysitter that she was called by a Private Investigator in regards to my children.  The PI told her that he was given her name & number by a councilmember.

The questions ranged from when they were with adults, to whom they are with and where.  She was told that this information was being gathered for potential city council matters.

I respect, understand, and appreciate that I am an elected official.  My life is public at times, & I’ve chosen that.

But leave my children out of it.

This kind of behavior does not belong in city government, and I will continue to advocate for non-partisan, honest & transparent council.

I ask of my fellow council-members, can we stop this nonsense and get back to what we were elected to do?

I ask of the City of Aberdeen, regardless if you are for or against me, please get out and vote.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.”
