The County Commissioners addressed a handful of issues and concerns, including the proposition of a Task Force between the City and County on Data Centers as well as Homeless Emergency Shelter possibilities. City Attorney Ron Wager and City Manager Dave McNeil spoke to the council, Wager said they are happy to form a Task Force, but said there is a process for these things.
Commissioners and Council Members will meet in the near future to get started. The Commission also heard from Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers about the progress on Bridge projects.
Rogers also filled them in on the Elm Lake Bridge progress.
Commissioners also heard from Fair Manager Rachael Kippley and approved the opening of bids for several different components of the Fair, including, Electricians, Sound Systems for the Rodeo and Concerts and Porta Potties. The Commission also took a moment to accept the resignation and thank the Marcus Selzer family for their time Managing Centennial Village for the last 15 years.
