Cracker barrels schedule released for February & March

February 1, 2021 (Aberdeen, SD)(Press Release) – The public will have an opportunity to hear from State Legislators a tree more legislative cracker barrels this winter – February 6, February 13 and March 6. All sessions, which are free and open to the public, will be held from 10 am to 12 noon in the Jewett Theatre inside the Johnson Fine Arts Center on the campus of Northern State University.

Legislators from Districts 1, 2 and 3 representing Brown County are invited to attend and give updates on what is happening in Pierre. This is an excellent opportunity for constituents to publicly discuss issues of importance. Ensuring that laws and legislation remain conducive to Aberdeen’s healthy and vibrant business climate is a top priority for the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce and providing this type of structure for business leaders to communicate effectively with government is one of the ways we provide this.

Face masks/coverings are required. Northern State University is at Level 3 status, which requires face coverings in all indoor public spaces, per the SD Board of Regents policy. We apologize if this is an inconvenience, but want to ensure the safety of all presenters, attendees and the University. See the full policy here: https://www.northern.edu/coronavirus/masks.  There will be plenty of room for social distancing. No food or drinks are allowed in the theatre.
