ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The need for blood is never ending, but this time of the year, the need is even greater.

Travis Dressler, Donor Recruitment Manager with Vitalant, talked about the time period immediately following the holidays.

He encouraged those donating to make it a social event by bringing a friend along.

There are numerous public drives scheduled throughout the area during the month, including one at Presentation College on Jan. 31.

Dressler said that while some types of blood may be more in demand than others, all types are needed.
