PIERRE, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – South Dakota reported 48 new COVID-19 cases and 54 new recoveries in numbers released by the Department of Health today. That drops the state’s number of active cases to 801 (it was 773 a week ago).
South Dakota has had 6,764 confirmed cases of the virus, 73,324 negative tests, and 5,872 recoveries. The state’s death total remained at 91. There were eight fewer hospitalizations, leaving the current number of those hospitalized with the virus at 62.
Locally, Brown County reported one new case and two new recoveries, lowering the number of active cases to 22. In all, the county has had 342 confirmed cases, 2,934 negative tests, 318 recoveries, and two deaths.
Minnehaha County has had 3,610 confirmed cases, followed by Beadle County with 524 and Pennington County with 518. Lincoln County has had 343 confirmed cases and Union County 123.
