ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – During a difficult time, the Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has found a way to help lighten the mood just a bit.

The CVB has started the April Foolishness Storybook Land Character Showdown. Katherine Grandstrand, Convention Sales and Marketing Director, said CVB Executive Director Casey Weismantel came up with the idea when the NCAA Basketball Tournament was canceled.

Grandstrand said that people need to vote on the first round before 5 p.m. Monday to be eligible for prizes. To vote go to www.visitaberdeensd.com/april-foolishness-2020

Prizes will help to support local businesses.

Grandstrand said the response has been positive with people from as far away as Wisconsin participating.
