ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Dacotah Prairie Museum will open a traveling exhibit on treehouses Saturday, Feb. 8. It will run through May 8.
The exhibit comes from Ithaca, N.Y.
Lora Schaunaman, Curator of Exhibits at the museum, explained the appeal of the exhibit.
There is literally something for everyone in the exhibit, which features two specially designed treehouses as well as touchscreens, animated animal buttons, microscopes and more.
Schaunaman said she has learned a lot about trees, especially the products that come from trees.
She said that trees also help the economy by providing shelter in the winter and shade in the summer.
