YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Former South Dakota Democratic Party Executive Director Pam Cole has joined “Dakotans for Health” a group pushing a Medicaid expansion ballot issue.

Cole says she is starting to organize the effort.

Cole wants to have a network of people working the petition drive.

Cole says there are too many people in the state that can’t afford medical insurance.

The group hopes to collect over 65,000 signatures to get a Medicaid expansion constitutional amendment on the ballot next year.
