Dan Kaiser announced he will run for Brown County Sheriff

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Thursday, Dan Kaiser announced on his Facebook page that he will run for Brown County Sheriff in 2026 as a Republican.  According to his press relief he wrote:

“As Sheriff, my number one priority is to Keep Brown County Safe. This means strengthening community trust while ensuring that our deputies operate with efficiency, professionalism, and integrity,” said Dan Kaiser. “I am committed to developing our personnel, embracing innovation, and working collaboratively with local, state, and federal partners to make Brown County the safest place in the world to live.”

Kaiser has over 20 years of service with law enforcement and is presently on the administrative team for the Aberdeen Police Department.

Kaiser has also served in the South Dakota House from 2013-2018.

Dave Lunzman is the current Brown County Sheriff and if he decide to seek re-election, there will be a primary likely coming up in June.
