WEBSTER, S.D. (Press Release) – Day County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in locating 67-year-old Richard “Butch” Carpenter. Richard is 5 ft 8”, 225 pounds with blue eyes and white hair. Last known clothing description is a black Duluth trading jacket, blue shirt with blue jeans.

His last known location was near Bitter Lake in Waubay at around 9 p.m. on the night of March 8.

Richard Carpenter would be driving a 2001 Maroon Chevy diesel pickup with South Dakota license plate 5A5359.

No contact has been made since 9 p.m. on the night of March 8, 2020.
