PIERRE, S.D. (KXLG) – The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation has is currently investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred in Day County on Tuesday. Tim Bormann is the Chief of Staff at the South Dakota Attorney General’s office in Pierre.
Bormann confirmed it was a Day County Deputy that was involved.
Bormann says a report will be filed the Attorney General within 30 days to determine the validity of the shooting. It is standard practice in all officer involved shooting to have the DCI conduct the investigation. No information regarding the suspect or the officer has been released by the Attorney General’s office.
