PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- If you aren’t a registered voter in South Dakota but you want to cast a ballot in the June 4, 2024, Primary Election, you have until 5pm local time on Monday to fill out a voter registration form.
Secretary of State Monae Johnson says there are multiple places a person can go to fill out the registration form.
She says Monday at 5pm local time is also the deadline for people needing to update their voter registration information.
If you aren’t sure if you’re registered to vote, Johnson encourages you to use the VIP– Voter Information Portal– on the Secretary of State’s website.
Absentee or early voting is taking place now. Johnson says if you need to request a ballot, it’s best to do that sooner rather than later.
Johnson says voters are also able to see a sample ballot by logging into the Voter Information Portal on the Secretary of State’s website.
