Demand for absentee ballots expected to continue to rise

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – The demand for absentee ballots will continue to rise as the general election approaches.

South Dakota Secretary of State Steve Barnett updated the legislatures Government Operations and Audit Committee.

Barnett says voters can still ask for an absentee ballot to be sent to them.

Barnett says keeping everyone safe during the process is a priority.

Barnett says they are looking for election day workers and anyone interested in the paid positions should contact their county auditors.
