Democrats continue to push their priorities as session winds down

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Despite their small numbers, Democrats in the South Dakota legislature continue to push for their priorities.

Senate Minority Leader Troy Heinert of Mission says they are not focusing on the budget process.

Heinert says they met with the Governor to talk about spending priorities.

Heinert says the Governor’s priorities match their own.

Legislators are now down to the final seven days of the main run of the session.
