Denny’s in Sioux Falls could be sued for racial discrimination

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- It appears a lawsuit is on the way after two black truck drivers were recently denied service at a Denny’s Restaurant in Sioux Falls.

Damon Whitfield says he thought there was a misunderstanding and tried to defuse the situation.

Civil Rights attorney Harry Daniels says the waitress at the center of the dispute is no longer employed by Denny’s.

He says it was apparently her husband, who is a district manager for Denny’s, who made the call to police.

A video of the incident involving Whitfield and Hector Madera went viral on social media.
