Department of Public Safety present their evidence in Ravnsborg crash that killed Joe Boever

PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Members of the South Dakota House had the chance to sit in on a Department of Public Safety briefing on the investigation into the crash involving Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg that killed Joseph Boever of Highmore in 2020.  It’s the exact same report that the House Select Committee on Investigation declined to have presented to them.

District 24 Representative Will Mortenson of Pierre calls the investigation extraordinary work.

Mortenson took a moment before answering if seeing report would change is mind on Tuesday’s gathering of lawmakers to vote on impeachment.

District 30 Representative Tim Goodwin of Rapid City says the Select Committee should have allowed the presentation from the Highway Patrol.

Goodwin says the brief has reinforced his decision to vote for impeachment of the Attorney General.

The full House is  scheduled to meet Tuesday to consider the Select Committee’s reports and vote on impeaching Ravnsborg.
