Dept. of Health not releasing school districts that have COVID cases

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – The South Dakota Department of Health says there are about 40 people that tested positive for COVID-19 from 19 school districts across the state.

State Epidemiologist Dr Josh Clayton says they are not releasing the districts involved.

Clayton says they are also tracking positive cases among college students, in state and out.

Clayton says they get notified when South Dakota residents test positive in other states.

The state now has about 1,300 active cases.
