PIERRE, S.D. (Press Release) – Governor Kristi Noem has accepted the resignation of Secretary of Social Services Greg DeSautel. The resignation will be effective May 22.

“I’m grateful for Greg’s service and the perspectives he brought from the private sector to the Department of Social Services,” said Noem. “I wish him the best in his next chapter.”

“I’ve been deeply honored to serve with Governor Noem,” said DeSautel. “I’m committed to preparing my department for a smooth leadership transition.”

Noem will appoint an interim secretary in the coming days.
