WINNER, S.D.(WNAX)- Voters will select members of the 2023 South Dakota legislature next week.

State Senator Erin Tobin of Winner is running for re-election from District 21. She says the first two years had a steep learning curve.

Tobin says she had a lot of encouragement to run again.

Tobin says she is hearing about land use issues from voters in her district.

Democrat Dan Andersson of Burke is running for the District 21 Senate seat.  He says he is running to give voters a choice.

Andersson says medical costs continue to be his prime focus.

Andersson says he is hearing from voters too.

Andersson ran for the same seat two years ago.
