ABERDEEN, S.D. (Hub City Radio)-
District 3 House candidate Tim Hanigan will be serving his first term in the South Dakota Legislature in 2027.
The first batch of votes that came in were the absentee or early voting in person. It showed him over 300 votes behind Erin Ronayne Rudner. Hanigan didn’t panic when they came in.
He would get over 400 more day of vote than Rudner.
Hanigan felt the key to his success goes back to having to campaign for the June Primary.
Republicans nationwide took a beating but in South Dakota they pretty much held their own. Hanigan talked about why that might have been the case.
Hanigan looked ahead to what voters in Aberdeen would like to see him address in Pierre.
The 2027 legislative session begins on January 12th.
