Representative Brandei Schaefbauer talks about the tone of the session especially toward the end of the session.
Representative Carl Perry discuss projects that will be beneficial to the Aberdeen region.
Senator Al Novstrup talks about the tuition freeze that will continue for another year for the colleges.
The legislators focused on bill that they were prime sponsors of during the session. Representative Schaefbauer talks about the bill dealing with medical marijuana.
One bill she introduced but later tabled dealt with hydrogen pipelines.
Representative Carl Perry prime sponsored a bill dealing with a better understanding of both the U.S. & S.D. Constitutions.
The bill failed to clear the committee. One bill he introduced that did pass & signed by the Governor dealt with roads connected to both city & county jurisdiction.
Senator Novstrup talks about the fairground bill that gain to momentum in the Senate Taxation Committee.
One bill that he was prime sponsor of was the House bill that dealt with removing names from petitions.
The bill cleared the House and moved on to the Senate. Senator Pro Temp offered an amendment to that bill.
After the bill cleared the Senate, it returned to the House for their consideration. Representative Perry voted in favor of the bill but after it was amended ended up voting against the bill. He explains why.
